As the seasons change from the warmth to the cooler weather, our skin can also change and a few tweaks with your skincare routine can help you keep that healthy glow, so sit back light a candle and grab a pumpkin latte…

Exfoliation

If your skin is looking a little dull, maybe pigmentation has come to the surface, so now is a great time to start introducing some acids into your routine. I prefer to opt for ingredients like Lactic acid to help melt away dead skin cells rather than granular/ abrasive type scrubs as AHA’s that can work with the skin rather than just scrubbing away.

One of my favourite products to introduce at this time of year is Dema-Lac Lotion containing lactic acid which can be used on the face and body.

This lotion can be used like a toner before your actives to help smooth, brighten and hydrate the skin. Particularly beneficial if you have any uneven spots of pigmentation or if the skin is feeling a little dull

Cleanser

If you swapped to a lighter wash over the summer months now is the time to opt more for a lotion or cream based cleanser, especially if the skin feels a little dry or tight.

Hydra Intense Cleanser is a beautiful nourishing cleanser that helps to support the skins barrier and keep the skin soft and nourished.

Perfect used with our Face Kloths to give the skin a deep nourished cleanse.

Water

We’re talking about the temperature of the water you use to wash with. It’s tempting to turn the water up so it’s nice and hot but the ideal temperature to wash with is just a touch warmer than luke-warm.

If the water is too hot it can really disturb the skins barrier and effect the skin natural moisture balance leading to a drier skin.

Hydration

The cooler air means the skin will start producing less ceramides which help the skin to keep nourished and strong.

If you can feel the skin is tighter or drier than usual now is the time to hydrate inside and out. Skin Omegas are essential fats that keep moisture locked in the cells taking 2 capsules a day can increase hydration to keep the skin glowing.

Also try to get some healthy fats in the diet- try snacking on nuts and seeds.

Topically we love Hydrating Oil Capsules to give the skin back its glow after the summer sun. Containing a small amount of retinol these little capsules leave the skin feeling silky soft.

Vitamin C

Skin Vit C is a super skin boosting ingredient is great at this time of year to nourish, help reduce pigmentation and brighten the skin.
